Va Va Bloom Event

September 27, 2012 —

Hey everyone! I have so much to tell you all about! We'll start off last week..

1. I finally got started on my little photography business that I've always wanted to start. I've been photographing my friends just to make a bit of a portfolio, and surprisingly, they're coming out incredible. Yesterday, I purchased a Canon Rebel T3i, so be prepared for some amazing photos coming up soon! I just thought I'd share just about the most adorable photo in the entire world that I took yesterday..

You can see my website here: click.

2. Last Saturday was the Seventeen/Vera Bradley "Va Va Bloom" event showcasing new fall trends from Seventeen & the new fall collection from Vera Bradley. It was an overall amazing experience, and I'd LOVE to do it over and over again. We got to model amazing looks (I loved my first look so, so much!), sip on the more adorable little drinks, and eat cupcakes. I mean what kind of day would be better than that? Here are some photos from the event:

me, jake (the cupcake kid), alisa (assistant), amy (17 style pro), christie (model), emily (model), emily's sister
look 2: all from forever 21, vera bradley bag from new fall collection
look 1: vest: h&M, jeans: American Eagle, everything else Forever 21, bag: Vera Bradley

Just tell me this isn't Tumblr material.
So typical.
Shirt & Bracelet

Hi everyone! So, I know I haven't posted in a few days. I've been really busy enjoying my last week of summer and all. My town hosts a local Portuguese festival every Labor Day weekend and people from all over the world attend. It's pretty crazy. I'm not Portuguese, but mostly everyone in my town is and so it's such a lively and crazy time that everyone always looks forward to! I munched on fried dough,  cheese fries, and ice cream (If you couldn't tell, I was trying to be really healthy this weekend..), but it was all well worth it.

I also started my first day of classes today! As much as I've heard negative things about it, I really am liking it there. I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I really love the freedom of being in college. It's nice because it's not as tedious and boring as high school always was. It's short classes, and I have two hours in between classes to work on homework and studying. I can even work on stuff for my online class. I'm hoping that all the work I do here really helps me be successful so that when I get to New York, I'll be adjusted to all the freedom!

I've also just organized a new giveaway for all you lovely readers! You can click here to enter to win a gorgeous bohemian feather bracelet! Here's what it looks like!

P.S. I was thinking of doing some sort of hair tutorial to teach all of you how to curl your hair and have it come out like mine. I get tons of compliments and "omg how do you get it like that?!" comments. What do you all think?
